Dessert from five ingredients in five minutes…without gut-discomfort
The other day, I was at my parents’ place, and my mom had bought a creamy cottage cheese treat/yoghurt we used to eat often when I was much younger. I remember I used to love it and easily munch down the whole thing in a matter of a few minutes.
That day, as I often do, first I looked at the label which showed it included 21 grams of sugar. Out of curiosity, and nostalgia I dove right in.
I only ate half of it, (couldn’t stomach the rest) and the sugar-rush and tummy-ache I felt after lasted for at least an hour. Crazy how these things may be a regular treat for kids.
So for next time, I decided to make my own without having to bear any sort of gut discomfort.
Here’s what you need:
200 g cottage cheese
3 teaspoons of sour cream
1 egg yolk
3 teaspoons of honey
1 pack of vanilla powder or 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Mix all the ingredients with a fork until smooth and top with a fresh or dried fruit of your choice. Et Voilà!
