These guilt-free treats will steal a heart and cherish the already stolen ones.
They taste yummy, have no refined sugar and make your heart feel all warm and fuzzy. Especially on this rainy and gloomy day here in Los Angeles.
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
P.s.: Feel free to bring this love in your life any day of the year though. Don’t make it calendar mandatory.
Whether you spend today with the love of your life, someone you just met, or with thyself (like I am), love can be celebrated in many shapes and forms from how you interact with others to how you talk to your body.
It’s not Valentine’s Day that makes love special. It’s you and how you show it.
These muffins definitely show care and love in a pretty healthy and delicious way.
Who could say no?!
Here’s what you need
(makes about eight muffins)
100 g coconut flour
2 scoops of chocolate protein (my favorite is the vegan @drinkorgain )
2 tbs of honey or coconut sugar if not sweet enough
10 g coconut oil
1/2 cup of nut milk
2 tbs of nut butter
1 tbs of cacao
1 tbs of cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of baking powder
Beat the eggs then mix in all the liquid ingredients (oil, nut milk, nut butter, honey if wanted)
Mix the dry ingredients (cacao, flour, cinnamon, salt, baling powder, baking soda, protein powder) in a separate bowl
Slowly mix dry stuff with the wet stuff until it’s nice and creamy.
Preheat oven to 350F. Pour dough into muffin pan in which either put liners or spread coconut oil or butter so it wouldn’t stick to the side.
Bake for about 20 minutes, but when it’s halfway up, add sour cherry on top.
